Earwax microsuction
Our pharmacy offers hearing screening, ear diagnostics and wax removal using the Tympa health microsuction tool.
The following signs and symptoms could indicate that you have ear or hearing problems;
Loss of hearing
Earache
Discomfort
Discharge
Ears feeling full
Ringing/itching
Loss of balance
Dizziness
Coughing
Our Typma health system can help diagnose ear conditions. If it turns out you have an ear infection or other ear condition our pharmacist may be able to prescribe treatment here. We can also refer you to your GP if we feel you need further investigation.
If we find you have a wax build up then we can safely and effectively remove this using the tympa microsuction system.
Your Ear Wax appointment
The appointment takes around 40 minutes.
We will take your name, address and date of birth and gather data around any medical conditions and any medications you are currently taking
You need to use a few drops of olive oil twice daily for 5-7 days before your appointment. You can purchase this from any pharmacy or we can issue it on prescription for you.
